About Dr. Mohammed Islam
Over the last 25 years, Dr. Islam has performed a large number of venous ablations for varicose veins using both thermal and non-thermal methods, including Varithena and phlebectomy. He has extensive experience in endovenous procedures, such as endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms, peripheral angioplasty, and stent placement. Dr. Islam is also highly skilled in managing Ileo-Caval disease through angioplasty, stent placement, intravascular ultrasound, selective embolization, and the insertion and removal of vena caval filters. Additionally, he has been involved in access creation and management for hemodialysis using both native and non-native conduits, as well as permanent and temporary catheter placement. His expertise includes declotting of AV access by both chemical and mechanical approaches, venous angioplasty, stent placement, and serial balloon-assisted fistula maturation.
Dr. Islam earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Sylhet M.A.G. Osmani Medical College. He completed a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and further specialized in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the Arizona Heart Institute in Phoenix.

I booked my appt to see Mohammed Islam, MD and I wound up seeing a different doctor and I wasn't sure why. I needed a vascular doctor which is what I booked but I ended up seeing a different doctor who was very insulting about my condition and very quick to make a diagnosis without any tests. It wasn't a great experience at all.
