I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 13 years of nursing experience, including 10 years dedicated specifically to mental health care. Since becoming a Nurse Practitioner in 2021, I have worked with individuals across the lifespan experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions.
I provide thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. My approach is collaborative — I believe in listening first, understanding your story, and working together to develop a treatment plan that aligns with your goals and values.
My areas of focus include depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, among others. I also support individuals navigating life transitions, stress, trauma, and mood instability.
As a culturally sensitive provider, I understand that mental health care is not one-size-fits-all. I strive to create a space where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their care journey.

You can expect a compassionate, non-judgmental, and collaborative approach to your care. I take time to listen carefully, understand your concerns, and develop a treatment plan that is personalized to your needs and goals. I believe in open communication, transparency, and ensuring you feel informed and empowered throughout your treatment journey.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
During your initial appointment, we will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. This includes discussing your current concerns, mental health history, medical history, lifestyle factors, and treatment goals. I take time to fully understand your symptoms and how they are impacting your daily life before making any diagnostic or treatment decisions.
If medication is appropriate, we will review options together. including benefits, potential side effects, and alternatives so you can make an informed decision about your care. My approach is collaborative and individualized; there is no one-size-fits-all treatment plan.
Follow-up sessions focus on monitoring your progress, assessing symptom improvement, addressing any side effects, and making thoughtful adjustments as needed. I also incorporate supportive therapy techniques during visits, though I do not provide weekly traditional psychotherapy. If ongoing therapy would be beneficial, I can provide referrals and coordinate care as appropriate.
My goal is to ensure you feel heard, informed, and supported throughout the treatment process.

I love Dr. Nwofor! I started seeing her when I was pregnant and it was really important to me to make sure my mental health was being looked at and I had support, and she was the perfect choice for this. I randomly was assigned and I thank my lucky stars for that happy occurrence! She has helped me navigate my struggles with the added stress of being a new mom and her understanding and perspective she offers has been incredible! She also has helped me change things about how I look at mental health in general and I feel so much more stable. She’s a wonderful support and I highly would recommend!

I didn’t want a Dr. to just prescribe my issues away. If you have ever wanted or wondered if there was another option besides medication, Dr. N. can help you explore that safely and knowledgeably. I began seeing her about a year ago during a very difficult time in my life. I had just lost my job and was also facing the stress of a possible cancer diagnosis, which triggered severe anxiety. From the first appointment, Moji made me feel comfortable and genuinely cared for. She takes the time to listen carefully and never makes you feel rushed.
What really stood out was her clinical expertise and thoughtful approach to treatment. In the early months, she carefully evaluated my symptoms and adjusted my treatment plan until we found the medication approach that worked best for me.
Today I’m doing incredibly well—my wife even says she has her husband back. With Moji’s guidance, we are now working on gradually tapering off my anxiety medications.
I’m very grateful for her care and would confidently recommend her to anyone seeking thoughtful, professional mental health support.
