Getting to know Dr. Molly Jahrling
I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Rush University in Chicago, where I focused my doctoral project on implementing verbal de-escalation training for intensive outpatient program staff. Before that, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Illinois Wesleyan University, minoring in Hispanic Studies and gaining international clinical experience in Barcelona.
Throughout my career, I've worked in a variety of psychiatric settings, including emergency, inpatient, and outpatient care. During my clinical rotations at Rush Behavioral Medicine and other mental health facilities, I provided psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and crisis intervention for adults, children, and adolescents. My goal is to collaborate with patients to develop personalized, effective treatment plans that support their mental well-being.
I specialize in the evaluation and management of psychiatric medication to provide comprehensive and personalized treatment plans for patients. In addition to psychiatric assessments, evaluations, and medication management, I can help link patients to adjunct treatments, including but not limited to transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), psychedelic therapy (SPRAVATO esketamine), and talk therapy.
What should a new client know about working with you?
The first appointment will involve a review of personal history, including family dynamics, childhood experiences, relationships, and any significant life events as well as explore the reasons you sought services and the specific symptoms and challenges you are facing. Recommendations for care will be provided and together you’ll begin to develop a plan to achieve your goals and achieve symptom relief.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
Patients’ initial medication management evaluation is a crucial step towards understanding and addressing their mental health needs and typically involves a thorough assessment of their medical and psychiatric history. I will provide information about potential treatment options, including psychiatric medications, and explain the benefits, potential side effects, and risks associated with each. This discussion aims to engage the patient in the decision-making process, ensuring they actively participate in their treatment plan.
Relief Mental Health is an outpatient provider of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), psychedelic therapy (SPRAVATO® and IV Ketamine), psychiatric medication management, and talk therapy for the treatment of depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder and other mental health diagnoses. While our expertise is broad, there are certain mental health conditions and diagnoses that fall outside our scope of practice. Your initial appointment will be considered an intake appointment and will not guarantee a continued patient-provider relationship.

More information on payments and coverage
If we do not receive your insurance information at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, we will collect a $100.00 deposit at the time of service and verify benefits after your appointment has taken place. This deposit will be applied towards any out-of-pocket costs for services, including copays, coinsurances, deductibles, or the full cash rate if we are out-of-network or unable to verify your insurance benefits. Once benefits are verified, any outstanding balance will be charged to the credit card on file and any overpayment can be refunded or applied to future visits. Our providers’ profiles list which insurances they accept, but patients are still encouraged to contact their insurance company for specific coverage details. Most of our providers are in-network with a variety of commercial PPO policies and Medicare, but are out-of-network with commercial HMO policies, Medicaid and other government-funded health insurance providers.
