About Molly Maloney
Molly is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with nearly a decade of healthcare experience dedicated to helping patients achieve their healthiest lives. As a Northern Virginia native, she is proud to serve the community she has called home her entire life. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Shenandoah University and is passionate about providing evidence-based, patient-centered care. Her clinical interests include women's health, preventive medicine, and cardiovascular health, with a particular focus on reducing risk factors for heart disease through education, early intervention, and lifestyle optimization.
Molly believes in building strong relationships with her patients and empowering them to take an active role in their health and wellness. Outside of the office, she enjoys baking, exploring new restaurants throughout the DMV area, and spending time with her husband and their two cats.

Optimum health is great! From the front desk to check out, the staff was friendly and helpful. Molly, my NP provider, was easy to talk to and helped come up with a plan for my health concerns. Definitely staying with NP Molly Maloney NP & Optimum health.

I got a pelvic exam and Pap smear with Molly. I am a trauma survivor so this is often a very upsetting experience for me. Molly did not know about my trauma, but nonetheless did everything in her power to make me feel extremely safe and to provide consent based care throughout the appointment.

If you just need a check up or something basic I think she’s fine. The overall experience in the room felt impersonal and distant. She was chewing gum and didn’t shake my hand to introduce herself, which can go a long way as a patient needing empathy who has been suffering with chronic issues. Even being positioned in opposite corners of the room seemed impersonal.
