Molly Paxton, APRN, MSN

Molly Paxton, APRN, MSN

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
AZ
I specialize in advanced medication management for complex, nuanced, and treatment-resistant conditions. I utilize an integrative, neurobiological approach that focuses on frontal lobe/executive functioning, nervous system dysregulation, and dopamine systems to diagnose and treat various concerns - ADHD/executive dysfunction, high-functioning anxiety, OCD-spectrum traits, trauma/C-PTSD, high-masking autism, personality structure issues, and cases where standard, single-medication treatments have failed. I specialize in treating high-achieving individuals whose functional impairment is often minimized because they "look successful." While I specialize in navigating clinical complexity, I bring that same deep, careful attention to treating anxiety, depression, and clients starting medication for the first time

What should a new client know about working with you?

Root cause focus: I look at the full picture including executive functioning, sleep, hormones, stress, and physical health. Not just diagnoses on paper. Medication as a tool: Treatment is individualized with a strong focus on real-life functioning and minimizing side effects. Conversational approach: Sessions are collaborative, practical, and focused on helping you understand the “why” behind treatment. Complex + everyday concerns: I treat anxiety, depression, ADHD, burnout, and high-masking or treatment-resistant presentations. Collaborative care: The goal is helping you function better, feel more like yourself, and improve daily life overall.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I start with a thorough evaluation to understand symptoms, patterns, lifestyle factors, medical history, and day-to-day functioning. From there, we build an individualized treatment plan which may include medication, behavioral strategies, lifestyle changes, or further evaluation when needed. Follow-up visits are collaborative and focused on tracking progress, minimizing side effects, and making practical adjustments that help you function better in daily life
