About Dr. Mondana Ghias
Dr. Mondana Ghias is a distinguished dermatologist specializing in complex medical dermatology, with a particular focus on Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS), skin of color, biologics, telehealth, and oncodermatology. She graduated a member of AOA (honors) from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she also completed a clinical research fellowship in HS. Dr. Ghias completed her dermatology residency at Einstein/Montefiore.
Dr. Ghias is a recognized authority in the fields of hidradenitis suppurativa, telehealth, and the treatment of complex medical dermatology disorders. Dr. Ghias has authored 24 peer-reviewed articles. Her publication, "High-dose, high-frequency infliximab: A novel treatment paradigm for hidradenitis suppurativa,” was the lead original article in the May 2020 issue of the JAAD and was selected as one of the top 10 publications of the past 3 years in 2023. This research was presented at the AAD conference in March 2023 during the “Game Changers” forum.

Changed my appointment IMMEDIATELY upon booking, their scheduling system sends out incorrect reminder messages, then they charged me a large no-show fee. The man at the reception is horribly rude, and hung up o me. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

I was really impressed by Dr. Ghias - I don't like to do tele health because I've always seen doctors in person. However, the convenience was great. I did end up waiting ~20 minutes before she arrived but she didn't seem to rush me and genuinely knowledgeable. I was able to pick up my prescription by the next day. Looking forward to my follow-up and hopefully not as much of a late start.

She is a very sweet individual. Showed up between 0-5 minutes after the scheduled appointment time and finished in less than 15 minutes. Since it was quick, it was hard to know if I was able to get out all my worries and concerns. She was very professional and efficient.

This was the best dermatologist appointment I have had in 4 years. She listened to me. Anyone living with HS knows that does not happen often. She listened, she gave solutions, and she didn't make me think I was a burden or a problem. I wish this service were available in all 50 states.

The Tono team is so helpful, communicative, and flexible with scheduling. I originally could not get a dermatologist team because nowhere had virtual options, but Tono did. If there was ever an issue with getting the medication, the team reached out right away. I've had a great experience with them, and they've been super friendly. Would definitely recommend.

It was really easy, the telemed made the whole process much, much faster and easier than traditional appointments. The doctor listened and was sympathetic and understood the problems and was able to quickly prescribe medicines to cure the issues.
