Getting to know Monica Corria

Hey there! I'm Monica Corria, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have extensive experience across medical, critical care, and both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings. I specialize in treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, sleep disorders and mood-related challenges. My passion is providing kind, personalized mental health care to patients across the lifespan—including children, adolescents, and adults. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing with a Psychiatric focus from St. Thomas University. My healthcare journey began in critical care—working in intensive care units, emergency rooms and trauma. That foundation deeply shaped my understanding of how physical and emotional health are intertwined and it continues to guide my holistic, patient-centered approach. At the heart of my practice is a belief in personalized care. I take the time to truly listen, to piece together the full picture of your mental health and to create a plan that supports your healing, growth and goals. I believe in working together, as my approach is rooted in collaboration and a deep understanding of how unique each person's journey to wellness really is. Whether you’re navigating a new diagnosis or seeking clarity and support, I’m here to support you and meet you where you are!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Practice Policies I’m dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming space where you feel comfortable sharing and working toward your mental health goals. I value your time and ask that you value mine as well. Please know that a no-show or late cancellation fee will be charged if you miss your appointment or do not cancel in advance. This helps me provide timely care to all my clients. Willow Psychiatry and Wellness maintains a strict controlled substance policy. Medications such as stimulants, benzodiazepines, and other controlled medications are prescribed only when clinically appropriate and after a comprehensive evaluation. Requests for specific medications or early refills without proper assessment will not be accommodated. To secure your appointment, a valid card on file is required. Appointments are not confirmed until payment information is added.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, I take the time to get to know you — your history, concerns, and goals. We’ll work together to create a personalized treatment plan that may include therapy, lifestyle recommendations, and/or medication management if appropriate. I believe in a collaborative, supportive approach where you feel empowered and heard every step of the way. Follow-up sessions focus on tracking your progress, making adjustments as needed, and providing ongoing support to help you feel your best.

I really love doing my clinicals with Monica. She really takes the time to go over psychopharmacology and disorder management and is so easy to talk with.
Monica is an exceptional psychiatrist—kind, attentive, and truly compassionate. She takes the time to listen and makes you feel comfortable and understood. Her thoughtful approach and genuine care make a real difference. Highly recommend!
There was absolutely no communication regarding my medication and zero follow-up. I spoke to several receptionists and asked them to leave a message for Monica about sending my medication to the original pharmacy I provided. I even emailed her, and still nothing. It has been a month, and I still have not received any help or response. When it comes to prescriptions and healthcare, communication is critical — and that was completely lacking here. I felt ignored and unsupported — completely ghosted. I was never sent a consent form to release my medical records, even though I left two messages with the receptionists, and there was still no response.
I’m going through a very painful moment in my life, and Dr. Monica has been an incredible support during this process. Her care is deeply empathetic and compassionate. Her guidance is very important to me, and I will definitely continue my treatment with her. I highly recommend her from the heart.

I can’t say enough great things about Monica. From the very first appointment, she made me feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for. She takes the time to listen — not just to symptoms, but to who I am as a person — and she always explains everything clearly so I never feel rushed or confused. I leave every session feeling lighter, hopeful, and supported — like I’m actually moving forward. I’m endlessly grateful to have such a thoughtful, skilled, and caring person like Monica in my corner. She is the BEST of the best!
I feel very heard, understood, and supported in my treatment journey, and I’m very grateful for your knowledge and professionalism. You are truly a blessing and very much appreciated!
i really appreciate what she has done for me. she always sits back just to hear me vent, i dont feel judged or anything. she has helped me a lot with my mental health and always checks in to make sure I’m doing okay. she is so easy to talk to and feels like a friend. i actually feel better after we talk.
Honestly, I was super nervous about seeing someone for my mental health but I’m really glad I found Monica. She made me feel comfortable right away and actually listened to what I was going through. I never felt judged or weird and it’s helped me a lot. I feel more like myself again.
From the very first session, she made me feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. She creates a space that feels safe and non-judgmental, where you can open up and be your full self. What really sets her apart is how she balances professionalism with compassion she listens closely, offers thoughtful insights, and gives you the tools to actually grow and heal. She’s helped me work through things I never thought I’d be able to talk about, and I always leave our sessions feeling lighter and more grounded. If you’re looking for a provider who’s truly invested in your mental health and emotional well-being, do yourself a favor and book with her. She’s the real deal.
