“The PA who I saw had great bedside manners and I have no complaints against.
However, I was not particularly impressed with the front desk person who checked me in, she was a bit rude and told me that they can not send the consult note from todays visit to my PCP and that i had to go to my PCP office and send a request from there instead of signing thr record release form at the derm office, which I know is inaccurate.”

Monica Horinko, PA-C, was born and raised in Northern Virginia and completed her undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech, where she studied Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise with a minor in Spanish. Prior to pursuing a career as a Physician Assistant, she worked as a Medical Assistant in dermatology for over two years, where she discovered her passion for the specialty.
Monica earned her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from Drexel University. She began her career in cosmetic dermatology, where she developed a strong foundation in aesthetic treatments and patient care. Monica is excited to return to general dermatology, where she can continue to provide high-quality care and help patients maintain their confidence and health through both medical and cosmetic dermatology. In addition, Monica is a proud SDPA Member and Diplomat Fellow, further demonstrating her commitment to advancing her expertise in the field.
