About Monica Patel
Monica Patel is a board-certified Physician Assistant with a strong passion for dermatology. She earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, graduating Magna Cum Laude with high honors for her outstanding academic performance. Prior to transitioning into dermatology, Monica gained extensive hands-on experience working in the emergency room, where she developed advanced clinical skills and proficiency in a variety of procedures.
As a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, Monica stays up-to-date with the latest developments in dermatology. Her passion for the field first grew from her own experience as a teenager dealing with acne, which significantly impacted her confidence until she sought help from a dermatologist. This experience drove her to pursue a career aimed at positively impacting both people’s lives and self-esteem. Monica is dedicated to patient-centered care, whether it involves detecting skin cancer, treating acne and other common skin conditions, or helping patients restore their confidence through cosmetic procedures and lasers.
Outside of her professional life, Monica loves cooking, working out, and traveling with her friends and family.

The visit starts with the friendly receptionist. The aid who brought me back to the room and asked their questions was equally as friendly. Monica is the PA who saw me for my concerns, and she met the high bar for being friendly and professional.

My visit went very well. The staff listened to me and were kind/transparent and managed my expectations. I got a little woozy during my visit, and was provided comfort (water, fan, recline) immediately. I could have been embarrassed, but the staff was so kind and understanding I didn’t feel awkward at all. The wait time past my appointment time was a little long, but the staff were hustling and made sure I was thanked for my patience (I get how busy doctor offices are these days). Highly recommend this office for your dermatology needs!

She's definitely in the right profession. My mither passed from malignant melanoma. So to come in there with a suspect mole and have her be as real as she was, and as kind as she was at the same time as well as her patience. I was a little grumpy so she was just was great.

As I was asked, I arrived 15 minutes before my 8 a.m. appointment. The door to the office was locked. I was let in at 8:00 a.m. and then I had to wait for 45 minutes to see the PA. I then waited another 10 minutes in the examination room. When the PA arrived it took only a few minutes.
I had the first appointment of the day. Why did it take so long to see me?
