About Dr. Monica Rani
Monica Rani, MD is a board certified dermatologist practicing general medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She strongly believes in collaborative decision making and education for patients for all conditions, from skin cancer screening and surgery, to acne, psoriasis, warts, cosmetic botox, lasers and injectable fillers.
Dr. Rani has been part of Northwestern Medicine since 2012, where she developed a global health program in dermatology and created a combined dermatologic-infectious disease clinic to provide integrated patient care.
An avid traveler with a passion for global culture, Dr. Rani has visited numerous countries on six continents, and has delivered medical care to underserved populations in many of them. She also enjoys the outdoors, triathalons, and her neighborhood of Lincoln Park.
Dr. Rani completed her undergraduate studies at Northwestern University, and attended the University of Minnesota for Medical School and her dual Residency in Internal Medicine and Dermatology. A frequent speaker at national and international professional meetings, Dr. Rani is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, member of the Women’s Dermatological Society, Medical Dermatological Society and the Chicago Dermatologic Society.
