Many doctors have treated this injury, but none has been able to provide the weeks of relief that Dr. Misak's treatment is providing. I am 73 years old, but since Dr. treatment I feel like I am 45 years old! Things that were unpleasant to undertake are now more fun. Life has been much more enjoyable since I have seen Dr. Misak.
I will continue to see Dr. Misak for future treatments if I need them due to her manner and knowledge. I recommend Dr. Misak without question.”

Dr. Monika Misak is a dual board-certified physician in Emergency Medicine and Interventional Pain Medicine with advanced fellowship training in interventional and regenerative pain management. She brings a comprehensive, evidence-based, and patient-centered approach to orthopedic and spine care, integrating precision-guided interventional procedures with cutting-edge regenerative therapies.
Dr. Misak earned her medical degree from Albany Medical College and completed her Emergency Medicine residency at The George Washington University, where she later served as Clinical Instructor and faculty. She went on to complete an ACGME-accredited Chronic Pain Fellowship at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, where she developed extensive expertise in interventional spine techniques and advanced pain therapies.
Her clinical focus includes the diagnosis and treatment of spine, joint, and musculoskeletal pain using minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Her goal is to restore function, reduce inflammation, and promote biologic healing while minimizing reliance on long-term medications.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Misak serves in the Emergency Department. She has authored peer-reviewed publications and presented nationally and internationally on clinical research, patient safety, and health equity. Her leadership experience includes developing innovative educational and community-based healthcare initiatives.

Dr. Misak was great. She took the time to explain everything about my injury and my options. I never felt like she was rushing off to the see the next patient.
She also seemed to be really knowledgable...especially about newer/less drastic treatment options which was a refreshing change for a surgeon.
And although this probably shouldn't matter as much as it does to me...she and her staff were really pleasant. Nobody likes to be in the Doctor's office, but they made a nerve wracking event manageable.
