Getting to know Monique Manderson

Welcome! I’m looking forward to working with you. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I provide thoughtful, evidence-based mental health care with an emphasis on collaboration and trust. During your first visit, we’ll explore your concerns, history, and goals so we can develop a personalized treatment plan. If you have any questions before the appointment, feel free to reach out. Please ensure you complete intake forms before your session. Telehealth links will be sent via secure message prior to your appointment.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I take a thoughtful, supportive approach to care. You can expect a space where you feel heard, respected, and never rushed. My goal is to create a collaborative relationship, where we work together to understand what you're experiencing and develop a treatment plan that aligns with your goals, values, and preferences. Through shared decision-making, we’ll explore options and move forward at a pace that feels right for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work begins with a conversation. In our first session, we’ll talk through your concerns, personal history, and goals so I can understand the full context of what you’re experiencing. I take the time to look beyond symptoms and explore how they’re impacting your daily life. From there, we’ll create a treatment plan together — which may include medication, supportive therapy, or both — depending on your needs and preferences. Ongoing sessions are a blend of medication management and talk-based support. I use a collaborative, shared decision-making approach so you’re always informed and involved in your care. My goal is to help you feel better, function more effectively, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Monique truly cares about her patients. When I was having issues with a pharmacy, she called them right away and quickly addressed the problem. I'm so grateful I found her on ZocDoc and highly recommend her care
My initial appointment with Monique was absolutely amazing. She really takes the time to get to know her clients instead of slapping them with a diagnosis and medicating them. The appointment felt like a conversation rather than an interview. I look forward to continuing sessions with her.
