Dr. M. Behzad Zafar is a board-certified gastroenterologist with significant clinical experience in managing digestive health. He trained at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, where he completed his Internal Medicine Residency in 2009, and his Gastroenterology Fellowship in 2013. He provides comprehensive care for a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, with a strong commitment to evidence-based medicine and patient-centered care. Excellent bedside manner and listened very carefully to my husband in regard to previous diagnosis and current issues. Didn’t rush the visit and was very clear on the next steps we needed to take and made the necessary arrangements. Sheila the doctors assistant made us feel welcome and confident that we were in the right place and the right doctor. She was very clear regarding the plan of action and what we needed to do. She apologized and apologized because we waited in the waiting room for close to an hour because the receptionist didn’t let the doctor and Sheila know that we were there. Felt very calm after the visit because we had a plan in place. This practice is the best!!

Dr. Zafar was very direct and addressed my medical concerns. His bedside manner is not the best as he seems a little dismissive, and I found myself apologizing when he told me I was conflating symptoms for unrelated issues (how would I know?). Nevertheless, I've met a number of doctors whose bedside manner is not ideal and as long as they are competent doctors I can suffer their attitude. He seems competent.
