About Dr. Mujahed Alikhan
Dr. Mujahed M. Alikhan joined Medical Clinic of Houston, LLP in July 2014. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine. In 2009, he completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center, serving as Chief Medical Resident from 2009 to 2010. He then completed a Rheumatology Fellowship at the University of Kentucky in 2014, serving as Chief Clinical Fellow during his final year. Dr. Alikhan also served as an Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine from 2010 to 2012. Board Certified in both Rheumatology and Internal Medicine and a member of the American College of Rheumatology, he is proud to provide high-quality, comprehensive, and convenient care for autoimmune disorders and arthritis. Some of the illnesses he treats include Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), Bursitis and Other Soft Tissue Diseases, Collagen Vascular Disease, Degenerative Joint Disease, DISH (Diffuse Idiopathic Skeletal Hyperostosis), Gout/Pseudogout, Infectious Arthritis, Lupus, MCTD (Mixed Connective Tissue Disease), Myositis, Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, PMR (Polymyalgia Rheumatica), Psoriasis/Psoriatic Arthritis, Raynaud's, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sarcoidosis, Scleroderma, Sjogren’s Syndrome, Giant Cell Arteritis/Temporal Arteritis, and Vasculitis. Dr. Alikhan believes in treating his patients with the most advanced therapies in a safe and convenient setting, supported by his infusion suite with dedicated nursing staff. The Clinic is located minutes from the Medical Center but housed in its own facility with convenient self and valet parking, diagnostic services such as X-ray, CT, MRI, bone density scans, mammograms, complete cardiac testing, in-room blood drawing for on-site laboratory testing, and nutritional and ADA-recognized diabetes education. Dr. Alikhan does not accept Cash Pay nor new BCBS patients.

Guys this doctor is amazing , wow is all I can say because there is just no other words. I’m sick of all these rude doctors that don’t even listen but this doctor was listening , engaging, so very kind , never rushed me , explained everything to me , answered all my questions and has the best bedside manner! I just wished I met him sooner because it could have saved me a lot of bad experiences . Please just try him once because you will thank me! I promise ! He is so so nice !

I can not speak too highly of Dr. Alikahn. I very rarely have to wait for my appt for one thing - and this may be because he is at the Medical Clinic of Houston, which is a vey efficient medical clinic offering comprehensive services. He has impressed me as a very skillful physician who is attuned to my medical situation. His treatment for my arthritis in my hands and recommendations to mitigate the problem have been spot-on. He listens, takes his time, and answers my numerous questions. And - this is important - he is very friendly and personable. I highly recommend him. Interestingly enough, I heard about him from another patient who happened to be on the same elevator with me when I was there for another appointment. He said that if I ever needed a doctor for hand problems like arthritis, that Dr. Alikhan was "the best". I would have to agree.

First, don't be afraid to ask for help. Take charge of your health. Do your research, and ask questions. Know your limits and work past your fears, for your own sake. My experience with a new Rheumatologist, is what needed. My family support through this on going health situation has been great as well. Dr. Alikhan and staff are great.
