Munachim I. Wagner MD, MBA, (formerly known as Dr. Uyanwune) is a board-certified psychiatrist. She holds dual degrees from the University of Connecticut, including a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in French. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Dr. Wagner obtained a combined M.D., M.B.A degree after receiving a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut School of Business, while enrolled at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Dr. Wagner completed her Psychiatry residency training at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt Psychiatry Residency Program. After her training,Dr. Wagner practiced at Sheppard Pratt Hospital for several years. She also worked in private practice where she served in an executive role as chief medical officer, in addition to community mental health.
Dr. Wagner is the CEO and founder of MIU Center, a behavioral health clinic which provides medication treatment for clients via in-person and tele-psychiatry services. MIU Center provides treatment for various behavioral health disorders including depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorders, anxiety, post-partum blues and more.
In addition to her career, Dr. Wagner is deeply involved in her local community in Maryland. She serves individuals and families in under-served areas, primarily in Baltimore city through the non-profit organization, Uproar Care (UCare) which she has done for several years. Also, Dr. Wagner is a pillar in the Psychiatry community. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and Maryland Psychiatric Society. Dr. Wagner also serves on the advisory council board member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) Center for Workplace Mental Health.
Dr. Wagner is only accepting TMS patients.
What should a new client know about working with you?
**ATTENTION: We do not prescribe controlled medication to patients outside Maryland.***
Dr. U is licensed in Maryland, so she would only be taking patients based in Maryland. New intakes are required in-person for the first appointment, patients can schedule follow up appointments via Telehealth. If patients cancel less than 24hrs before appointment, patient will have to wait 3 months before booking another appointment. Intake patients are required to fill out patients forms before attending session or else the doctor will not attend the session.

I’ve had a few psychiatrists over the past 11 years and Dr. Uyanwune is the absolute best, bar none. 1000/10 would recommend. Her main selling point is her individualized plus a dedication and preciseness to ensure that we can achieve ?the best possible results. I’ve never had ANY Doc be so invested in my health, and I’ve seen A LOT of doctors over the years.
In addition to going above and beyond for her patients, she’s prompt, friendly, communicative, has a great office staff, incredibly detailed orientated, and more.

I have seen a few psychiatrists in the past, and my experience with Dr. U was the best I have ever experienced. Dr. U made me feel very comfortable. She was took her time, was thourough, is experienced, articulate, intelligent, and I really felt I could open up to her and feel heard. Dr. U also recommended treatment options that no other psychiatrist has ever recommended. I feel like I was and am truly supported and in good hands for the first time. I am very grateful to have found Dr. U and highly recommend her.

she addressed all my concerns and was very easy to talk to. I've heard many stories of psychiatrists being cold because 'their job is to prescribe you medicine not listen to your problems' but I didn't feel that with her at all. would totally recommend if this is your first psychiatrist or if you're nervous.
