Getting to know Dr. Nadege Barbe
I am a Board-Certified adult and child/adolescent psychiatrist serving patients throughout Florida. I chose to complete additional training to work with children, adolescents, and young adults, as I understand how early intervention is of utmost importance and can impact a person for many years to come. I consider it a privilege to listen to a patient’s stories and work with them through life’s challenges. I am committed to working with socially, culturally, and economically diverse populations. My approach is never paternalistic; I try to meet my patients where they are and offer any help I can.
I earned my Doctor of Medicine from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. I completed my psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient, outpatient, emergency services, comprehensive DBT, and college counseling.
