Nadine A Collier, PMHNP

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
MA
The decision to seek help for a mental health issue does not always come naturally. Many people endure needless suffering for months or even years rather than seek help. The reasons vary-some are skeptical about the effectiveness of mental health therapy or concerned about the need for medication. Whatever the reason for not seeking help, it is absolutely crucial that you give yourself a break. Remaining in denial, making excuses, or judging yourself harshly probably isn't how you would handle a physical health problem. I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a Master's degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Salem State University. I care for young adults, adults, and elders (65+). My goal is to establish a trusting and therapeutic relationship to promote a positive and unique experience, but most importantly, to facilitate the best possible health outcomes. My professional and educational backgrounds have prepared me to provide evidence-based, culturally competent, high-quality care. I have vast experience providing mental health care in inpatient, long-term care, and outpatient settings. I take a functional and integrative approach, believing that optimal mental wellness includes nutrition and physical activity alongside allopathic interventions. My specialties include depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and psychosis.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Every journey begins with one step, but I will meet you where you are: with compassion and without judgement. The most important factor is finding a treatment plan that works best for your unique needs and lifestyles. I also make it a priority to educate my patients on their available options so they can make the most informed decision. Whether you find treatment in therapy or medication, both or neither, that’s a conversation you need to have with the right provider. I can help you find the right path to your goals in a safe and supportive environment.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
