Getting to know Dr. Nadine Abdellatif

Some prescribers will rubber-stamp requests without fully discussing potential risks or long-term impact. Others may strongly encourage medication without fully considering your comfort level. My goal is to offer a different kind of care, one that brings together my doctoral-level clinical training and your lived experience in a collaborative, respectful partnership. I believe meaningful treatment starts with a genuine relationship. Collaboration is not just part of my approach, it is the foundation. Together, we will take the time to explore your goals, preferences, and concerns so that any treatment plan feels informed, balanced, and right for you. I am bilingual in Arabic and English and was born and raised in the United States. My multicultural background, along with experience in diverse clinical settings, has shaped my commitment to meeting patients where they are. You deserve care that feels thoughtful, respectful, and aligned with your needs, and that includes finding the provider who is the best fit for you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I specialize in working with young adults navigating major life transitions. From the late teens through your 30s, roles and identities are constantly evolving. You may be moving from high school to college, entering the workforce, or navigating relationships, partnership, or parenthood. These changes often overlap, and adjusting to a new role before fully settling into the last one can feel overwhelming and bring mental health challenges to the surface. I commonly work with ADHD, anxiety, and depression. For ADHD, strategies that once worked in structured environments like high school may become less effective in college or professional life, leading to frustration and self-doubt. I work with patients to better understand these patterns and develop more sustainable approaches across different stages of life. For anxiety and depression, increasing independence can bring both opportunity and pressure. Navigating life with less support, or feeling unable to be fully open even when support exists, can make these challenges feel more isolating. Together, we create a space where you can process these experiences openly and without judgment. My approach is collaborative and tailored to you. We will work as partners to better understand your experiences and find strategies that fit your life and goals. Medication can be a helpful tool to support focus, stability, and a greater sense of control.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Treatment usually starts with an open, collaborative conversation about what you’re experiencing and what your options are. There is absolutely no pressure to commit to anything before you feel ready. My goal is to ensure you feel informed and comfortable with whatever direction we choose. If we decide to move forward with medication, I remain involved and accessible as you get started, not just at a scheduled follow-up weeks later. If you’re dealing with a side effect or have questions about how you’re feeling, I want to address that with you in real time. You should not have to sit with something that worries you just because the calendar says so.
