“I visited Dr. Ali today for a physical, and she was lovely - very kind, thorough in her questions and gentle in her physical examination. I was pleased to be taken in early since I arrived early - a rare experience at a doctor's office! My one complaint was with the nurse staff - they were also very courteous and thorough, but I haven't had such an unpleasant blood test experience in years. After 10-15 minutes of tourniqueting, poking, prodding, and needling, I finally gave up and asked the nurse to send me to a lab instead. I mean, I am kind of used to this, tiny veins and low bp and all, but I wish the nurse was either better trained or more aware of her own capabilities on this procedure. Beyond that, it was a great experience and I will definitely keep Dr. Ali as my doctor.”

About Dr. Nahrin Ali
Nahrin Ali, DO, is a member of Summit Health's Family Medicine team. She specializes in all aspects of primary care, including routine wellness and sick visits, treatment of minor injuries, and management of chronic conditions.
Dr. Ali emphasizes preventive care in her practice and her role as a partner in her patients' health and well-being. She takes pride in ensuring her patients feel heard and cared for at every visit, building the kind of relationships she witnessed growing up with the physicians in her family. She knew early on that she wanted to impact her community the same way.
Dr. Ali earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology, New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury. She completed residencies in Family Medicine at Atlantic Health System, Morristown Medical Center, and in Pediatrics at Atlantic Health System, Goryeb Children's Hospital. She holds a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York, Stony Brook.
The relationships built around helping others-and doing it with a strong and caring team-are what Dr. Ali appreciates most. “Patients, staff, doctors, we're all in this together,” she says.
When she's not seeing patients, Dr. Ali enjoys spending time with friends and family and exploring New York City's restaurants and activities. “I feel fortunate to have been born and raised in such a wonderful, global community that is like no other in the world,” she says.
