About Naima Aguayo-Pohl

Naima practices a collaborative, data-driven therapy approach with 10-years of experience evaluating and treating a range of speech and language abilities and diagnoses, including: - Apraxia - Articulation - ASD - CAS - Cerebral Palsy - Down Syndrome - Dysphagia - Executive functioning difficulties - Expressive Language Disorders - Feeding disorders, including sensory related difficulty - Phonological Processing Disorders - Mixed receptive/expressive language disorders - Selective Mutism - Social Communication Disorder - Stuttering/fluency disorders - Voice and Resonance Other areas of specialty and education include musical voice training and coursework at Hunter College in ethical Applied Behavior Analysis. Voice and resonance treatment can include both vocal disorders and changes in voice, such as transgender affirmation services. Although Naima does not accept insurance, she can provide an invoice to submit for reimbursement. ***The initial appointment booked will be a complimentary phone call. You will find that new patients are only able to book a 15-minute video conference. That is because the consultation call will be the first step in determining the best plan for therapy, including frequency and length of session visits.
