About Dr. Namyi Yu
Dr. Namyi Yu is a board-certified Endocrinologist specializing in the treatment of diabetes and endocrine disorders. She has a special interest in treating patients with both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, as well as obesity.
She graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree and earned her Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University, in 2000. She completed her internal medicine residency training at Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. Her fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism was completed at Yale-New Haven Hospital between 2003 and 2006. Dr. Yu then served as the Director of the Weight Management Program and attending physician at Winthrop University Hospital’s Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism until 2014, when she opened her private practice.
