Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
NJ
As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I envision a world where all individuals facing mental health challenges receive quality, uninterrupted, and holistic care. I am dual-certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, which allows me to integrate a comprehensive understanding of physical and mental health into my practice. However, my primary focus and passion remain in mental health care. I am committed to providing care that truly makes a difference. I do not endorse a “one glove fits all” approach, as every individual is unique with their own challenges and life experiences. Therefore, we will partner together to develop a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs, goals, and expectations. I work collaboratively with each patient to create an individualized plan that may include therapy, medication management, and meaningful lifestyle changes. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and open communication. My goal is to foster a therapeutic space built on trust and authenticity. I believe meaningful progress begins with feeling genuinely heard and understood. Together, we will explore patterns, stressors, and strengths, gain insight into factors influencing your mental health, and establish practical steps that align with your values and support long-term well-being

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to care centers on partnership, transparency, and helping clients recognize their own strengths. I strive to cultivate an atmosphere that feels respectful, reassuring, and open, where individuals feel comfortable sharing their experiences and gaining deeper understanding of their symptoms, patterns of thinking, and behaviors. I provide care exclusively through Telehealth, allowing for accessible, flexible treatment that meets clients in the comfort and privacy of their own environment. My practice integrates evidence-based interventions with personalized treatment planning. In addition to addressing symptom relief, I focus on identifying contributing factors and encouraging practical lifestyle adjustments that support long-term stability.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During an initial psychiatric evaluation, we will spend time discussing what brought you in, the symptoms you are experiencing, and how they are affecting your daily life, relationships, work, or school. I will review your mental health history, past medications, medical history, family history, and any current stressors to gain a full understanding of your situation. I also complete a mental status assessment and discuss any safety concerns in a supportive and respectful way. Based on the information gathered, I will explain possible diagnoses and review treatment options, including medication if appropriate, so we can develop a plan together. Follow-up visits for medication management are typically shorter and focus on how you are responding to treatment, any side effects, and whether adjustments are needed. My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and centered on helping you feel heard while working toward meaningful symptom improvement and overall well-being.
