***PLEASE NOTE: WITHIN 48 HOURS OF REQUESTING AN APPOINTMENT, YOU WILL BE CONTACTED BY OUR ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM TO COMPLETE THE REQUIRED CONSENT FORMS AND PAY THE DEPOSIT TO RESERVE YOUR APPOINTMENT TIME. IF WE ARE UNABLE TO REACH YOU, YOUR APPOINTMENT WILL BE CANCELLED. REMINDER: WE ARE NOT IN-NETWORK WITH ANY INSURANCE PROVIDERS AND WE DO NOT ACCEPT MEDICAID.*** At its core, participating in therapy is an act of courage. I believe that a willingness to examine your life and your relationships honestly is the best way to figure out what works, what doesn't, and what areas need attention. Often, a clear-eyed examination of your life and your relationships with those you love will turn up not only areas that need work, but also areas of strength, ability, and resilience. I love helping individuals, couples, and families identify the things they do best, then apply those skills to areas of their life that need help. No relationship is perfect, and room for improvement is found wherever there is imperfection. I'm not afraid of conflict and facing difficulties head-on. I firmly believe that doing better-getting better at being a part of a family or a couple-is within reach for every couple who is willing to try. I reliably focus on process over content; that is, it's not what you're arguing about, it's how you argue. Conflict is unavoidable, but treating each other with gentleness and respect is a skill that can be learned and developed, and I am here to help. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Amberton University and earned my Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University. These educational experiences have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support meaningful growth and healing in the relationships I work with.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have a practical approach to helping couples identify what works well between them, what areas need help, and leveraging their strengths to help in areas where they have difficulty. I like to give couples practical tools and guidance. If I do my job well, they won't need me for long. Nancy Rosenberg is a Licensed Marriage and Family Associate in Texas (#204353) under the supervision of Don Zablosky (#5226). She graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in English and History and earned her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Amberton University. She has experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups, with an emphasis on relational difficulties, coping strategies, boundaries, life transitions, and grief. She is a certified Prepare/Enrich premarital method facilitator and member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT).

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I like to understand the issues that each person brings to the relationship. Core wounds from childhood and adolescence often find their way into adult relationships. From attachment wounds to trust issues to low self-esteem, we often bring these issues unwittingly into our adult relationships. Once couples begin to see patterns and make connections, they have a better ability to rise above the wounds and fears that are rooted in the past.

More information on payments and coverage

A deposit is required to reserve your initial appointment with one of our therapists. The deposit is equal to the cost of your first session and will be applied to that session automatically once the session has been completed. However, as per our general financial policy, if you cancel more than 24 hours in advance, this deposit can be refunded back to you upon request or applied to your first session if you reschedule. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment or no show, this deposit will not be refunded or applied to future sessions. Our clinicians’ time is important to us and to others who are hoping to utilize the open slots on their schedules, so we do ask that you notify us as soon as you know you won’t be able to make it so we can make that slot open to others who are in need of therapeutic assistance. Payment in full is expected at the time of service. Our fee structure is based on an hourly rate. If sessions lasting longer than an hour are scheduled or occur, the fee will be prorated at the same hourly rate. Will I Be Reimbursed for Out-Of-Network Therapy? In most cases, yes. Stanford Couples Counseling is happy to offer a superbill upon request which you may be able to file with your insurance provider for out-of-network reimbursement. This means you will need to pay your therapist for the entire session when you receive their services, but your insurance company may be able to send you a check to reimburse a portion of the cost once you file an out-of-network reimbursement claim. **Please contact your insurance provider to check whether you qualify for out-of-network reimbursement benefits** For additional questions about payment or insurance, please call our office to speak with one of our Client Support Specialists.
