About Nancy Smith

Nancy Smith received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in December 2012 and holds a Doctor of Nursing Science from Texas Woman's University. She is a Texas Board of Nursing licensed Registered Nurse with certification as an adult nurse practitioner. Nancy earned her Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston and Texas Woman's University, respectively, as well as a Master of Science from Texas Woman's University. She has been practicing dermatology with U.S. Dermatology Partners for over four years. Her medical background includes hospital medical and surgical experience, along with serving as the administrator of an in-home services organization for the elderly population. As a Nurse Practitioner, Nancy provides care for a variety of skin disorders, performs skin cancer examinations, diagnostic biopsies, and treats numerous dermatologic conditions. Nancy is a member of the Dermatology Nurses Association, Texas Nurse Practitioners, and Texas Nurses Association. The staff at front desk was cordial, the assistant to NP Smith was thorough, and the checkout staff was cordial. I waited 45 min in the waiting room (got there 15 min early as asked, seen an additional 30 min after my appt time). Clean office. Nancy was super friendly and relatable!
The staff was very kind and helpful, especially the nurse who saw me before the NP but the NP herself did not seem that interested. I wasn’t in for anything serious just acne but I appreciate caregivers who are willing to stay for any more questions you may have for them.
This doctors office was amazing, they helped me right away on my journey to clearer skin. I’ve dealt with eczema for most of my life and at 28, I can finally say I’m living my life not worrying about it. Nancy is amazing and a great listener and her assistant Diamond was amazing!
