I have several years’ experience in treating adults with psychiatric disorders. I will work with you to create a customizable plan to treat your psychiatric illness that includes not just medications but also lifestyle modifications where appropriate. My goal is to help you reach your optimal functioning, and I understand that this process looks different for everyone. Since past experiences can contribute to current behaviors, we can also discuss negative thought processes during treatment.
It is important to know that as a new client, I will work with you and respect your comfort level. We will discuss your goals of treatment and how these can be achieved with appropriate care.
I earned my Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University of the Americas (Nevis) and completed my residency in Psychiatry at Griffin Memorial Hospital.

As a psychiatrist, I take a precise and evidence-based approach to medication management while maintaining a collaborative and patient-centered focus. I will guide you through treatment options, discuss potential benefits and side effects, and make careful adjustments based on your progress. My goal is to provide thoughtful, well-informed care that supports long-term stability, improved functioning, and overall well-being.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Treatment begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation that explores your mental health history, current symptoms, and any co-occurring medical conditions. This thorough assessment allows me to establish an accurate diagnosis and understand the full scope of your needs. From there, we will work together to define clear treatment goals and develop a structured, individualized plan.

Dr is very condescending and not a good listener. I had mentioned certain topics multiple times and it was as if she was just learning of them in that present moment. She made sure to shame me as well as my last Dr., avoid at all costs.

it was meh. she was 10-15 mins late to my virtual appointment — so for a bit there i wasn’t even sure it was still happening. i didn’t feel like she was really listening. she prescribed me meds that have a side effect of raising blood pressure when i already have hypertension. it was alright but i don’t think i’ll see her again.

Dr. Gupta made me feel heard. I was very concerned about past experiences with medications and she offered alternatives that weren’t even brought up to me with previous practitioners. She’s very professional and offered a follow up appointment in a reasonable time frame as well as a way to access her in case I had questions about my new prescription.

I saw Dr. Gupta after moving to Illinois and was able to easily schedule an appointment. She's very knowledgeable and warm, which made the anxiety of switching providers much less stressful. I live in Chicago was able to get my regular medications prescribed at a nearby pharmacy -- not sure what the other review had issues with.
Only con is the BlueSky tech can be buggy and unintuitive.

I waited in the virtual room for 22 minutes. I didn’t hear from the provider and ended up leaving. I messaged the office to reschedule and didn’t even get an apology. It’s very frustrating that I chose the virtual for flexibility and the office clearly didn’t prioritize that. I would not recommend.
