About Natalie Bernys
Natalie was born and raised in southeastern Michigan and currently lives in Oak Hill with her husband and their two sons. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and exploring culinary and wine creations.
Natalie Bernys, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant on the team of dedicated providers at Virginia Family Medicine. She holds her certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Natalie earned her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Detroit Mercy, where she also served as class president. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at Michigan State University. An energetic and driven individual, Natalie brings both passion and leadership to her practice.
At Virginia Family Medicine, Natalie specializes in diabetes, hypertension, and women’s health. She has extensive experience providing exceptional primary care services in both family practice and internal medicine settings and enjoys developing meaningful relationships with her patients. A strong advocate for preventive healthcare, she works closely with patients to help them develop and maintain healthy lifestyles.
Before joining Virginia Family Medicine, Natalie worked as a sign language interpreter in Michigan, specializing in medical and higher-education settings. Fluent in American Sign Language, she provides deaf patients with personalized care that avoids the miscommunication and confidentiality issues that can arise when using an interpreter who is not part of the Virginia Family Medicine team.

I? would highly recommend this office because they were very friendly and patient when dealing with a new deaf patient. The doctor was able to communicate in ASL efficiently. I? will be visiting this office in Fairfax even though she has another office located in Tyson Corners.
