What should a new client know about working with you?

I have the honor of working with individuals, romantic relationships, and families navigating grief and loss, anxiety, relationship challenges, identity development, and complex life transitions. I received my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Psychological Services from Northwestern University. I completed my clinical training at the Bette D. Harris Family and Child Clinic at The Family Institute.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

After an initial assessment and goal setting period (usually first 4 sessions), we work collaboratively to identify and modify unhelpful habit patterns that get in the way of your goals. I lead with warmth, empathy, and authenticity to foster a nonjudgemental and understanding therapeutic space. I strive for cultural humility and social justice advocacy in my practice. I believe it is my responsibility to foster safety and earn clients’ trust through agency, choice, and empowerment.
