I recently visited Dr. Chhabra at the Ridgewood office, and the experience was disappointing. I drove half an hour during my lunch break, but from the start I felt dismissed. She interrupted me, was condescending, and told me I should’ve gone to my primary doctor first. When I mentioned not having regained my pre-pregnancy weight, she questioned me in a way that felt belittling. I also explained that I experience both constipation and diarrhea, but she insisted her notes only mentioned constipation. After I clarified, her attitude improved, but the initial tone stayed with me. I saw her 3 years ago and remembered a similar attitude, which some reviews also mention. By the end of the appointment her demeanor was better, but the initial interaction made me feel unwelcome. It felt as though my presence was an inconvenience. When I make the effort to leave work and travel to an appointment, I expect to be listened to without being cut off or made to feel confused about my own symptoms.

Terrible experience and basically didn’t get anything solved. Paying for a service that was basically a waste of time. Got diagnostic tests done, I had to call to get my results multiple times, staff was extremely rude especially the front desk young girl, rolling her eyes at patients and having a nasty attitude tone the entire time, doctor basically said my results were inconclusive but stated to get an organ removed??? Huh? Spoke to me like I was incoherent or not knowledgeable. I guess not disclosing that I am a critical care NURSE was something I should have done in order to get some straight forward answers. Just dismissive all around— a shame

The staff were very friendly the Doctor was a good listener she did not rush me and was able to communicate we’re as to understand what was the issues. Waiting 40 minutes but I was comfortable and I know it’s because the Dr does not rush you out so I’m ok with waiting

I had my first appointment with Dr. Chhabra today. Though our appointment was brief, she listened intently to my symptoms and calmly discussed the next course of action. I feel confident we'll get answers about what I've been experiencing, and it was also comforting to know I could discuss a sensitive topic comfortably with her. I'm looking forward to being under her care moving forward!

Felt a little rushed but provider seemed knowledgeable. I was hoping for someone who listened to my medical hx a little more and possibly had a unique perspective or offered a tx approach that hadn't been tried before. That being said, perhaps there isn't an alternative to to offer.

Dr. Chhabra was very thorough during my visit and I was able to get answers regarding my abdominal pain. She did all the necessary testing immediately and referred me to a surgeon within 2 days. Highly recommend her and the office staff was friendly and welcoming.
