What should a new client know about working with you?

Nate is a holistic practitioner, and will assess social elements, family dynamics, financial concerns, physical health and habits, and spirituality history to help form a clearer picture of what may be contributing to his patients mental and emotional health. He has an open posture towards alternative medicines and supplements and some of their evidence-based effectiveness with certain mental health symptoms. Nate uses a secure, private, messaging system that conveniently allows you to send messages to Nate if you have any questions in-between appointments.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Initial appointments usually last about an hour. During this time, Nate will take time just to get to know you as a person, learn about your story and what might be contributing to your struggles, offer therapeutic support and guidance, and use validated diagnostic tools to come to a working diagnosis. Once a working diagnosis is considered, Nate will discuss different treatment options with you, and help you decide on what the best option might be for relief of your symptoms. Each patient's situation is different, but follow-up appointments usually range from every month to every three months. Follow-up appointments are usually around 30 minutes. During these appointments, your overall progress will be monitored, often using brief validated measures/tests. You will be assessed for any side effects of medications and you may have labwork ordered for review. Progress on your goals will be discussed, and Nate will provide continued therapeutic support.
