Nathanial R. McElhaney, M.D., is a board-certified physician, clinical researcher, and medical educator. Drawing on his training in general and cardiothoracic surgery, Dr. McElhaney provides comprehensive care for patients with vein disease and peripheral artery disease (PAD), combining surgical expertise with minimally invasive treatment approaches. Dr. McElthaney earned his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and completed his General Surgery residency at Union Memorial Hospital, where he served as chief resident. He subsequently completed a specialized fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. As a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and an active member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Dr. McElhaney combines leading edge clinical research with advanced, minimally invasive techniques to deliver exceptional patient care. In addition to his clinical practice, which focuses on thoracic oncology and chest wall pathologies, he has contributed extensively to surgical literature with peer-reviewed publications.
