About Dr. Naveen Pesala
Dr. Naveen Pesala specializes in internal medicine and primary care. With 16 years of experience, Dr. Pesala is passionate about providing great patient care to each and every individual. He focuses on risk factor reduction and management, as well as identifying early disease markers. Preventive medicine and supporting his patients' long-term health goals are central to his approach.
Dr. Pesala earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (Deemed University). He completed his internship at Saint Agnes Hospital and his residency at Lenox Hill Hospital. He is trained and qualified to prescribe pre-exposure prophylaxis with Truvada and Descovy and has training in the treatment of STDs.
His office offers rapid flu, strep, and COVID testing, as well as HPV, hepatitis A, and hepatitis B vaccines. Pneumonia, shingles, and typhoid vaccinations are also available. Please note that the office does not perform in-house blood work; patients are referred to testing centers for blood draws. Therefore, fasting is not required prior to annual physicals.
