Getting to know Dr. Nazli Fouladi

Hello, I'm Nazli Fouladi. I'm not just a clinical psychologist; I'm genuinely committed to helping you navigate life's challenges through mental well-being and emotional balance. I have a profound passion for delving into the complexities of the human mind and assisting others in their journey toward healing, personal growth, and living their best life. My approach is built on empathy, trust, and a strong belief in each person's capacity for positive change, all within a non-directive therapeutic space. I value a holistic approach to mental health, including the mind, body, and spirit. In addition to my doctoral studies in clinical psychology, I have a postgraduate background in lifespan developmental psychology. That's why I'm particularly aware of the difficulties that may arise during the intricate stages and events of life-for example, going off to college, marriage, parenthood, work-life balance, caring for older loved ones, generational events, and trauma. My academic journey includes a PsyD and Master's training in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, completed in 2009 with a concentration in Diversity. Before that, I earned a Master's degree in Lifespan Developmental Psychology from Johns Hopkins University. I also have a graduate background in Fine Arts and Biology. I completed my doctoral internship at George Mason University Counseling and Psychological Services. I have been a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Maryland since 2013. Prior to my internship, I completed two years of supervised practicum training at two clinical private practice facilities, where I provided assessment, testing, and psychotherapy for individuals from various age groups and ethnicities. I have worked with individuals suffering from trauma and crisis management, depression, general and specific anxiety, traumatic brain injury, various neurological disorders, schizophrenia, phobias, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, and body dysmorphic disorder.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I waited weeks in advance for the appointment only to be told that she would not be able to see me regularly. I ended the visit within the first few minutes. The doctor still charged me, essentially just for her to tell me that she wouldn't be able to see me. I don't understand why she accepted my appointment request in the first place.

A fantastic therapist, very engaging and easy to talk to. Shows real empathy and understanding of the issues, allows you to articulate the situation but also intelligently directs the conversation in ways which help express the problems being faced.
