Dr. Onyejiaka, a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and Pediatrician, received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, through the Combined B.A./M.D. Program. She completed her residency training at Tulane University, specializing in pediatrics, general psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry through the Triple Board Residency Program. Additionally, she attended the New Orleans–Birmingham Psychoanalytic Center Honorary Fellowship Program before relocating to Chicago in recent years.
Dr. Onyejiaka is an active member of the International Society for Sports Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also fluent in Spanish and welcomes Spanish-speaking patients.
Dr. Onyejiaka uses multiple talk therapy modalities and may augment treatment with pharmacotherapy by prescribing medications as appropriate. She employs these techniques carefully to restore and promote well-being and life balance.

The PA was really great. She gave some really insightful recommendations. There is a delay in communication, and the therapy sessions cannot be scheduled online, so that is a downside.

The physician I met was very sweet: And I was late so I appreciate their time?. A great listener, asked questions about my background to try and pinpoint where it all began?, very empathetic, and professional.? She is knowledgeable when it came to medication concerns and how to properly handle someone with my type of diagnoses. She understands that you can’t rush the healing process especially when someone wants the help. I felt extremely comfortable and safe. I would recommend this office to someone who’s been struggling for a really long time and wants their physician to work with them and not against them.?
