About Dr. Neal Joseph
Neal Joseph, M.D. is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. Following in the footsteps of his father, a gastroenterologist and his mother, a nutritionist, Dr. Joseph got a head start to learning about digestive disorders, and this early exposure inspired his passion to become a physician. He graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Biology from the prestigious accelerated BA/M.D. 7-year Combined Degree Program at the George Washington University, where he was named a University Honors Program Scholar. After earning his M.D., Dr. Joseph completed his internal medicine residency at University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital, and subsequently pursued specialty training in gastroenterology at Lenox Hill Hospital, NY. During his fellowship, he sought additional training in liver diseases at Mount Sinai Medical Center, NY. Dr. Joseph’s clinical interests encompass the full breadth of gastroenterology and endoscopy, including colon cancer screening, colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, polyp removal, acid reflux, abdominal pain, inflammatory bowel disease, and irritable bowel syndrome. He has published numerous original research articles and presented his work at several national conferences. He was awarded the distinguished American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Diversity Award at the Digestive Disease Week Crystal Awards for his excellence in research devoted to promoting minority-related issues in gastroenterology. Dr. Joseph is currently an attending physician with privileges at Lenox Hill Hospital and New York University Langone Medical Center. He feels honored to help care for his patients and enjoys the opportunity to teach medical students, residents, and fellows.

Can't talk good enough about this Doct and his team. The only down side is that I wasn't called with time to talk about my insurance plan to cover my endoscopy. They called me the evening before the procedure to tell me how much I had to pay and what kind of plans they have fore to pay. In any case... Can't be happier with this doc.

Dr. Joseph spent a good deal of time with me not just in examination but in explanation of further steps. The staff was friendly and Alida dealt very nicely and sensitively with this reluctant patient/blood letter.

Fantastic service. Was seen right away, and the nurses were extremely kind and helpful. The doctor was great, and the front desk takes the liberty to schedule your ultrasound / imaging appointments for you based on your insurance and address. I found that extremely helpful as most other places just hand you a sheet of paper and say goodluck, send us the results.
He was a great doctor and I would definitely recommend him. I have a lot of anxiety and he was very calming and had a great bedside manner. The nurses were also very kind. I had a panic attack getting blood taken and they were so understanding.

Dr. Joseph was wonder! The best bedside manner you can hope for. On my initial visit, I liked that we sat down together in his office and got a chance to meet and learn about each other. All of the assistants were ultra professional and the anesthesiologist made me feel super comfortable. I will definitely recommend this office to everyone that I know. This was nothing like the last colonoscopy that I had. Leaving the office, I felt nothing at all, just as I did walking in.
