About Dr. Neeru Kaushik

Neeru N. Kaushik earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the University of Bridgeport, College of Naturopathic Medicine; an MS in Acupuncture from the Acupuncture Institute at the University of Bridgeport; an MS in Mathematics from Alabama State University; and an MA in Sanskrit from Panjab University, India.
Dr. Kaushik has worked as a Sanskrit instructor at the Institute of Ayurvedic Sciences in Montgomery, AL, for many years, where she also taught Ayurvedic cooking before moving to Connecticut in 1999. She received her Ayurvedic training in India and from Dr. Somesh N. Kaushik, as well as homeopathic and iridology training in India. She has learned from well-known physicians James D'Adamo, ND; Ivan Bier, ND, LAc; Sophia Leonida, MD; and Russel Marz, ND, LAc. Dr. Kaushik is a naturopathic physician in private practice at the Institute.
Dr. Kaushik enjoys gardening, learning new cuisines, traveling, and spending time in nature. She and her family live by Ayurvedic principles and are constantly learning more about them.

Was 20 mins late to my appointment. Had a dismissive energy at the beginning. Asked me questions for 40 minutes just to tell me my insurance doesn’t cover anything and she couldn’t give me any insight into what could be the cause for my issues. My time could’ve been better spent elsewhere.

Incredible visit. I felt listened to, provided for, and cared for throughout the entirety of my visit. That’s the first time I can truly say that about a doctors visit. I learned a lot about myself and I was prescribed dietary changes rather than medicinal prescriptions. She also gave me herbs and natural vegan remedies that I’m excited to try. I can’t recommend this place enough - truly a blessing to have this care in Bridgeport.

I had a very lengthy appointment. It was due to many ailments I’ve been neglecting over the years as a caregiver to my son, mom, and mother in law. I am hopeful to make the journey to heal within so I can now take care of me. I was provided with a prescription of herbs and Kachira for a two week cleanse. And the blood test! Anxious to get rid of the toxins and get on with life!

Dr. Kaushik was extremely helpful and kind. She was able to treat my health issues faster than any doctor Ive ever been to. Her therapies, supplements and diet suggestions also have made a huge difference. I was hesitant about seeing an Ayurvedic doctor at first but once I came and started seeing such big changes I wouldnt go anywhere else. I trust her with my life and am so happy I chose to start seeing an Ayurvedic/Natropath. Especially Dr. Kaushik. She is wonderful, knowledgeable and so helpful I recommended her to my family & friends!
