Mr. Neil Wilson is an adult psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner. As part of his formal education, Mr. Wilson completed a master's degree in psychiatric and mental health nursing at Northern Kentucky University. He strives to stay current with the advancements in his field. Mr. Wilson is dedicated to helping his patients lead happier and healthier lives. To ensure that, he works closely with each of them to discuss ways to make better health choices.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As a provider, I do NOT do letters of condition without an established relationship with clients. Meaning that if you need a FMLA letter or a letter for disability or time off, you should have been under my care for 6 months to a year. I do NOT easily prescribed stimulants, controlled substances, and benzodiazepines without a strict evaluation and possible referral for substance abuse counseling and ADHD psychological referral.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My typical beginning always starts with listenings. Listening is a skill. Client needs and how clients want his/her plan of care is important. I embrace what the client needs are: someone to talk with, medication management, direction, guidance, and therapy. This is how clients find confidence in their provider.
