About Nelson Angelo Villanueva
Nelson Angelo B. Villanueva, PA-C — known as Angelo — is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in musculoskeletal medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a minor in Biology from Northeastern University and completed his Physician Assistant training at Long Island University Brooklyn. He holds board certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Angelo evaluates and treats a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions affecting the spine, shoulders, hips, knees, wrists, ankles, and other joints, with a particular interest in sports-related and overuse injuries. Through advanced training with the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) and Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine, he offers ultrasound-guided joint injections and trigger point injections when clinically indicated.
For Angelo, quality care starts with listening. He takes the time to understand each patient's concerns and goals, explain their diagnosis in clear terms, and develop a treatment plan tailored to their needs so that every patient feels heard, well-informed, and confident in their plan of care.

As a former competitive powerlifter and powerlifting coach, he understands firsthand what it means to work through setbacks and fight back to full performance. His goal goes beyond pain relief — he works to help patients restore function, regain confidence, and get back to the activities they love.
