Dr. Nelson Kwowi is a Doctor of Psychiatry Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Psychiatry, serving pediatric, adolescent, and adult clients with mental health conditions. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) and worked for over five years in the Department of Emergency Psychiatry at John Peter Smith Hospital. Nelson then completed his Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University.
He has extensive experience working with clients experiencing mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia, and addiction disorders. Nelson is dedicated to providing compassionate and supportive care to all his clients.

We offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnoses, medication management, and psychotherapy treatment with optional consultation and pharmacotherapy. What is your typical process for working with clients?
I am committed to providing integrated healthcare services that address the whole body and promote good health using best practices to enhance the quality of life of the individuals, families, and communities we serve. We offer a variety of services that are designed to meet the unique needs of each individual and family. We also offer community education and outreach programs that promote good health and prevent illness.

I have seen this provider twice now and have nothing but positive things to say about him. I was able to get an appointment very quickly with him (the very next day.) I wanna shout a big thank you to my mental health provider, Nelson K. When I first came to the Regency clinic I was really feeling weird and low on my self-esteem. This clinic help me with a series of psychotherapy sessions and within three months I could confidently go to work, hang out with friends and colleagues, and effectively have my worries under control. Mr. Nelson, I just wanna say a big thank you for putting meaning back into my life, and now am enjoying quality time with my friends and family. I will recommend Regency clinic to anyone needing mental help.

Regency Services is the best outpatient clinic to seek your mental health treatment. The provider is very dedicated, knowledgeable, and has a great professional approach. I will like to give a special thanks to Mr. Nelson for all his help to get my mental health under control. He follows up with me to make sure my treatment is responding. This was the best experience I have ever had with a provider. I got an in-person appointment for the next day, when I got there my wait time was less than 5 minutes. Dr. Kwowi was knowledgeable about my disease process, diagnosis and treatment process. I am very satisfied with their services and feel great since being on the right meds and correct dose for me. Regency Psychiatric Services has helped me so much. When I first started coming I was riddled with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, and Anger, etc. Dr. Nelson Kwowi was extremely helpful and listened to my issues and concerns. Mentally, I feel better just the way he was listening and got to the bottom of my mental health conditions and started me on the right medications that has transformed my life. I am very appreciative for finding Regency Psychiatric and the help they have provided. I can’t thank him enough for helping me.
