Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Nerkissa spent 18 years working as a registered nurse at a level one trauma hospital providing nursing care for clients with psychiatric illnesses, burn injuries, orthopedic injuries, and general medical-surgical conditions. Nerkissa is passionate about providing high-quality, evidence-based mental health care treatment, and providing mental health education in an effort to decrease generational stigma surrounding mental illness. She provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and talk therapy for clients with depression and anxiety. After you request your appointment, you will be sent an invite link for Brightside Health. You will need to enter your insurance and payment information to confirm your appointment.During your initial consultation we will craft a treatment plan personalized to your needs, and schedule follow-up appointments as needed. You will also be able message me directly at anytime via the messaging section of your Brightside Health portal - a tool where will also track your progress, access resources, and see your treatment plan details.
