I booked an appointment for 3:20pm of the same day; it was pushed back to 4pm. But, he met me on time and it was very quick. It was over in less than 20 minutes. I think it was a good meeting (telehealth).

Nghia Nguyen is the kind of psychiatrist you dream of finding - the kind you don’t think really exists. From the very beginning, he made me feel safe. He makes time for you no matter what and genuinely works with you to get your medication right. He’s also authentic, strong, and emotionally intelligent beyond belief. Unlike so many psychiatrists who treat you like a diagnosis on a chart, Nghia treats you like a person. I was hesitant to open up at first, especially about the parts of myself I didn’t want anyone to see. But the moment I did, I realized he wasn’t just listening. He was there with zero judgment and he never made me feel small for what I’d been through. He never makes you feel like you're a burden. In fact, for the first time in a long time, I feel like someone sees me and still believes I’m worthy of getting better. That’s a gift I don’t take lightly. If you’re in a dark place and don’t know who to turn to, I truly believe he can help pull you out of it.

Nghia Nguyen is, without question, the best psychiatrist I’ve ever had. There’s something about the way he listens that makes the world feel less scary. I’ve told him things I never thought I’d be brave enough to say out loud, and he never flinched—just listened with the kind of kindness that makes you feel like maybe, just maybe, you’re going to be okay. He’s calm, steady, and unbelievably validating. He doesn’t just treat symptoms—he truly sees people. I feel safe with him, in a way I didn’t know was possible. He’s always there when I need him, and I honestly don’t know how I would’ve gotten through the past year without his support.

Nghia Nguyen has my highest praise! Working with him has been everything I was looking for in a provider. I've been seeing him for about two months now, and I have nothing at all bad to say about him. If I could give him more than five stars, I absolutely would.
Here are a few things that you can expect when seeking care from Nghia Nguyen:
1) he really listens to all of your concerns
2) he provides options and includes you in the decision-making process
3) he follows up regularly to make sure you are happy with your progress
4) he never makes you feel like an inconvenience and always give you the time that you need
5) he is exceptionally knowledgeable of different treatment options and willing to work with you to find the appropriate solution for you
After two months, I am so pleased with the progress that I've seen, and I will continue to seek care from him.

I was struggling with being tapered off a medication to quickly. I had been on that med for almost 10 years and was tapered off in 7 days!! At the time I was so lost and at rock bottom nothing made scenes, until I saw Nghia!
He took the time to listen and explain why I felt the way I did and how to help manage it. He helped me understand when to take my new meds, how they are best processed and interactions between meds. I’m so thankful for Nghia and his passion for helping others through their mental health journey!!

This doc is great, I highly recommend him. He's very courteous, respectful, and timely. Answers any and all questions asked and is very informative. Even answers questions outside of visits. I definitely recommend him.

The whole staff is super friendly and really listened to the issues . I talked to the on sight psychologist who helped with the correct med management. Going to group was scary at first but they really make a point to let you know you are safe and aloud to talk about anything. I highly recommend Cottonwood, even if you just need to learn some new life skills.
