More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I sent this message to the person I saw today: Hey. I will follow your instructions on my medication, and will pick up my new prescriptions. But I don’t want to see you again. I didn’t have a good experience with you. I am also a mental health professional, and I have conducted suicide screeners before. I would never shut down a client’s questions like you did. Also, almost all screeners specify a time frame within which the questions apply. Either you lack experience conducting suicide screeners, or you don’t have the compassion to explain to your clients the questions you are asking. Either way, I don’t want to continue seeing you. I also am uncomfortable counting my medication and undergoing a drug test. It shows to me that you lack trust in your clients and that’s not the kind of relationship I’m seeking from a provider. Best of luck.
