More about Dr. Nicholas Rizzo, MD, FACP, JD
Dr. Rizzo received his B.A. in Biology from the University of Chicago and his M.D. from Northwestern. He completed his residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and is board certified in Internal Medicine (General Medicine for adults). From 2011 to 2013 he was a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and is presently an Affiliate Lecturer at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine.
He volunteered as an assistant varsity wrestling coach at Marist High School for 14 years, works as a ringside physician for professional boxing and MMA events, is a Board Member of the Association of Ringside Physicians, and is a member of the State of Illinois Athletic Commission Advisory Board. He has authored or co-authored three books on the medical aspects of wrestling and ringside medicine, and has a certificate in Culinary Arts. He received his JD with Certificate in Health Law from Loyola University in May 2018.

Dr Rizzo was amazing. It was my first time using ZocDoc to book any kind of appointment and my girlfriend and I were going for Pre Surgical blood work and we ended up chatting with the doctor for over an hour, not because we were forced to wait or anything but because he was genuinely interested and we were picking his brain on some other topics. It was great not being treated as just a number, and having the dr take his time with us. I would recommend Dr Rizzo to anyone!

Great doctor! I thought I had water in my ear, turns out I had a wall of wax preventing me from being able to hear! I walked out wax free hearing normal after months of battling ear issues that no one else bothered to address! Highly recommend choosing Dr. Rizzo as your PCP. One of the few docs that will take the time to listen and care for you the way all doctors should!

Dr. Rizzo, is a very caring individule. I have a difficult condition and hard to manage. He never makes me feel like I am a burden to him, and always makes himself available. I can't ask for a more compationa, educated physician.
