About Dr. Nicholas Scanio
With over 11 years of experience serving the Chicagoland community, Dr. Nick is known for his compassionate approach, clinical excellence, and commitment to helping patients live pain-free, active lives.
Growing up in the western suburbs of Chicago, Dr. Nick attended Glenbard West High School, where he played football, baseball, and basketball. His passion for chiropractic care began when his father, who suffered from severe lower back pain, found life-changing relief through chiropractic treatment. “I was amazed at the positive outcomes it could have on a person’s quality of life,” he recalls a moment that inspired his career path.
After earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, Dr. Nick went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. While there, he participated in the Clinic Abroad program, traveling to Ilhéus, Brazil to provide care to underserved communities, an experience that deepened his passion for service and healing.

When I first started treatment with Dr. Nick, I was having pain in my hip and was kind of hoping against hope that he would be able to "fix it." I was amazed at how immediately he identified the problem! And he also located another problem in my knee that I had basically been ignoring. I started coming in twice a week, until Dr. Nick thought we could reduce it to once, and then every two weeks. Now it is once a month (and even less, lately). He always knows exactly how to find the source of the problem! I just returned from a 3-week hiking trip in Patagonia. I have Dr. Nick to thank for the fact that the hike was successful - that I was able to do it without any problem at all. Thank you!

My entire family (teen kids) have seen Dr Nick for several years. Very knowledgeable and provides great relief for back pain, sports injury, headache, and TMJ problems. Also see Dr Tony in same practice. Both are awesome.
