About Dr. Nicholas Summerfelt
Dr. Nicholas R. Summerfelt (or as he prefers, “Dr. Nick”) is a 2014 graduate of the University of Iowa, and a 2020 graduate of Palmer College - Davenport. He is a first generation chiropractor. Dr. Nick was born in Ames, IA and raised in Chambersburg, PA. After graduating from Palmer in February 2020, Dr. Nick moved back to south central Pennsylvania and practiced for two and half years in his hometown before accepting a job with Palmercare Chiropractic Lovettsville.
Growing up playing basketball and lacrosse, Dr. Nick has always had an affinity for wellness and living a healthy lifestyle. After graduating from The University of Iowa with a degree in Health & Human Physiology, he chose the chiropractic profession for its focus on the significance of looking at the body as a whole and not the sum of its parts. Dr. Nick has the right non-invasive technique to fit your needs, and specializes in Diversified technique, Activator technique, Gonstead technique, drop technique, and Flexion Distraction technique. He is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and is certified in Webster’s technique for prenatal care. Dr. Nick has treated 8-day olds to 88-year olds, and is looking forward to serving the Lovettsville community!
When not working Dr. Nick enjoys exercising, reading, hiking, watching his Iowa Hawkeyes (Go Hawks!), and spending quality time with his family and friends.

I used ZocDoc to book my appointment. The original appointment was for 430pm on a Friday afternoon. The office staff contacted me the same day and stated that they didn’t take new patients that late in the day on a Friday and rebooked me for today.
When I arrived at the designated rescheduled appointment time, they had no record of changing my appointment. They later found it on the ZocDoc reservation screen and said they had issues with bookings through ZocDoc in the past and realized they did not have me on their actual treatment schedule for today. They basically dismissed me as if it was my mistake with a very nonchalant attitude. ?I had to show them on my phone that their office had contacted me on Friday by phone. That is when they finally agreed to ?reschedule my appointment again for 4 pm today. This was extremely inconvenient. For them to not offer the solution of rebooking me later today without me asking them to was unsettling. They need some customer service training.

Dr. Nick has help me so much since I’ve started to visit Palmercare Chiropractic. He has allowed me to not only be a better version of my self, but has taken care of my body. I’ve been to other chiropractors before, but none have seem to help me with my issues like Dr. Nick and his whole staff has. Thank you for continuing to help me every week! 10/10 recommend Dr. Nick if you have any pain!

I think doctor Nick is great! He explains everything very clearly so you can understand what is going on in your body to make you feel more comfortable about your treatment. He’s very friendly and is amazing with kids. Couldn’t recommend him enough!

Dr Summrfelt is great. Under his care my back problems have dramatically improved. I started out 3 tmes a week with treatment. Now I am doing so well I only need to see him twice monthly

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Summerfelt. He takes the time to listen, delivers excellent adjustments and is knowledgeable on things like exercises and at home stretches. Highly recommend this young man!
