Nick Speeney is a board certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. He obtained his Doctor of Nursing Practice from Robert Morris University and has worked in outpatient community mental health clinics along with inpatient (community & forensic) mental health units treating individuals across the lifespan.
I offer in-person and telemedicine services in the state of Pennsylvania.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

He was knowledgeable on medications. Took a thorough history. But I found him to be condescending and patronizing in the way he spoke to me. We did not agree on recommendations, which I respect and understand, but he explicitly told me that I was wasting his time which I felt was hurtful and kinda inappropriate. Kinda sucks to deal with people like this in the mental health field if you’re already struggling and just trying to seek out support.

Nick was very understanding and had a warm persona. He made me feel comfortable and not judged, continued to reassure me that it was an open space and that I could feel safe talking to him. It was a huge difference from my previous appointment with a different provider.
