The office staff were friendly and patient and thorough. They made the entire process seamless. The office itself was lovely. So happy and relieved that I found Dr. Tyrus.”

About Dr. Nickolas Tyris
Born and raised in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Dr. Tyris (MD, FACR) graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2010 and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of South Carolina in 2013. In 2015, he completed his fellowship in rheumatology at Drexel University College of Medicine. His passion for medicine has led Dr. Tyris to publish research on pseudoseptic arthritis, and he has been involved in numerous projects analyzing disease activity scores for rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. A member of the American College of Rheumatology and the American College of Physicians, Dr. Tyris’ knowledge and experience in rheumatology spans a wide range of issues and conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, osteoarthritis, lupus, osteoporosis, and fibromyalgia. An expert in joint injections, Dr. Tyris has extensive experience using the latest technologies in musculoskeletal ultrasound, and his dedication to patient care has earned him Top Doctor Awards in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. Dr Tyris also gives lectures nationwide on the treatment of autoimmune diseases to other physicians.

This was the first time I really felt heard by a doctor. He believed my pain and didn't blame it on my weight, he was clear about the information he relayed, and he spoke in a way that made me feel like his equal - no ego, no big words. While the wait was one of the longest I've ever had for a doctor, after meeting with him I can see why. He never made me felt rushed, like we had all the time in the world to discuss my diagnosis or any questions/concerns I had.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Friendly, personable and efficient staff from the time I walked in the door and with each step along the way. I was even able to have a skin test and bloodwork done before I left. Seems knowledgeable but visit was short and the wait was close to 90 min and thus was visit 3. First visit was the same about 90 min wait. They had 3-10am appointments and I was 10:15 all for same doctor. Need to not schedule people like that.

The process of booking the appointment was easy. The Office called to verify my appointment. I initially scheduled my follow up appointment through the Doctor's Office, but it later had to be cancelled at the request of the Office and rescheduled. i was not able to take the call at the time, but I was able to schedule my follow up appointment through ZocDoc as well.

I was really, really pleased with my visit. Dr. Tyris actually listened, having someone else take notes so our conversation could be organic and he could focus 100% on me and what I saying. I felt believed, which in the chronic pain world can sometimes be challenging. He was also extremely communicative and clear about possible side effects, but in a calm, friendly way. Everything was explained thoroughly and plainly without condescension, and I felt able to be honest and forthcoming. He also asked if I was able to get in quickly and was able to schedule a follow up in an extremely timely manner, rather than having to find an opening months away. He explained that the office holds a few appointments open every day just for emergencies and walk-in situations.

Although it was my first visit with the doctor, he was very personable and seems to be quite thorough and compassionate. I have been struggling for almost a year to get to the root of chronic back and neck pain and rapid worsening of symptoms in my hands. He assured me that we would get to the bottom of it! He ordered several tests! I have a good feeling that he was sincere and I’m hoping for the best!! I truly appreciate that he took the time to listen and genuinely seemed to want to help me and not just pass me to the next specialist. My first impression was very good. hope my instincts are correct.
