Hi, I'm Nicole Carissimi, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to making real mental health support accessible — without you ever having to leave home. I provide telehealth psychiatric care across Nevada because I believe that where you live should never be a barrier to getting the help you deserve.
My approach is holistic and whole-person — I take the time to truly understand you, not just your symptoms. I'm passionate about creating a safe, judgment-free space where every patient feels heard, respected, and cared for. I offer psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and integrative psychiatry, and I am proud to provide LGBTQ+ affirming care to all patients.

What should a new client know about working with you?
When you come to me as a new patient, my first priority is making sure you feel comfortable and genuinely heard. I know that reaching out for mental health support takes courage, and I never take that lightly.
My approach is collaborative — we work together to understand what's going on, set meaningful goals, and create a care plan that fits your life. I take a holistic, whole-person perspective, which means I look beyond symptoms alone and consider how all aspects of your well-being connect. I believe in integrative psychiatry, blending evidence-based medicine with a deep respect for who you are as an individual.
As a telehealth practice, our sessions take place virtually from the comfort and privacy of your own home. All you need is a quiet space and a phone, tablet, or computer. I serve patients across Nevada and am proud to provide a welcoming, affirming environment for everyone — including LGBTQ+ individuals.
My goal is simple: to be the kind of provider you actually look forward to talking to. You don't have to have it all figured out before your first visit — just show up, and we'll take it from there together.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My process begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation during our first appointment. This is a relaxed, conversational session where I take the time to truly get to know you — your history, your current struggles, your goals, and what has or hasn't worked for you in the past. There's no rush, and no judgment.
From there, we build a personalized care plan together. Depending on your needs, this may include medication management, integrative approaches, or a combination of both. I explain everything clearly so you always understand your options and feel empowered to make informed decisions about your own care.
Follow-up appointments allow us to check in on how you're feeling, monitor progress, adjust your plan as needed, and continue building the therapeutic relationship that is so central to real, lasting change.
Because I practice via telehealth, all of this happens from wherever you feel most comfortable — no commute, no waiting room, just focused and meaningful care delivered right to you. I currently serve patients across Nevada and am always accepting new patients who are ready to take that next step.
