Nicole Lucas, PMHNP

I am truly grateful for Lifestance and the people I was fortunate to work with. Its never ro late to work on yourself. I started with Lifestance in August 2024 dealing with anxiety and some depression. I knew I needed the help but didn't want to be on medication for a long period of time. Sometimes we may need others ro help us. This was a huge task for me in my personal life asking for help. Today I am learning to put myself first and receiving the best service from my Psychiatrist, Nicole Lucas. After my first session, I felt a sense of accomplishment because I was on the path towards healing. Two hours later I got the worse call that my younger brother has expired. I really needed the help even more because I was truly depressed. I commended myself for reaching out to the Lifestance portal to get in contact with my Psychiatrist after missing an appointment with her due to not being in my right state of mind. I needed ro talk to someone and needed a refill on my new medication. Someone responded and informed me they had rescheduled my missed appointment and will call in a refill for my medication until I see Nicole. I was pretty upset with myself for missing my appointment and receiving a missed bill that I could have avoided if I was in my right state of mind. I sucked up the bill and now put all appointments in my smart device to remind me of all appointments. I started therapy as recommended by my Psychiatrist. I am progressing through all of my storms because life continues to move forward as time doesn't stop. I have been faced with several more loss of loved ones but I am utilizing my tools learned from therapy. Today I am putting myself first because I deserve to. I am pouring into myself so I can heal properly through my trauma. I will continue to use Lifestance services because they are assist me on my healing journey. If you are confused with seeking assistance because of various issues in your personal life. Give yourself an opportunity to heal because when you put yourself first, you will live a rewarding and healthy life. Let go of the stigma of what others think about getting counseling services. Our health is our wealth.

I have a genetically inherited disorder. When I decided to switch doctors with the same medication management and found Nurse Practitioner Lucas, I felt that she is concerned, knowledgeable, and efficient with handling my care and just in a short period of time. She is good at taking care of things for me in a timely fashion. I must say, I am still doing good and look to continue with the help of the Lord and taking my medication as prescribed until there may be a day that I not need it any longer.

Nicole was great! She created a calming environment to discuss my needs; it felt like I was talking to a friend. All my concerns were addressed in a timely and professional manner. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back!
