All patients welcome! I'm Dr. Nicole Lyons, a doctoral-prepared, dual-certified Nurse Practitioner currently practicing in Psychiatry. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Arizona State University and bring over 20 years of healthcare experience to my practice. My approach to psychiatric care is both empathetic and collaborative. I believe everyone has the potential to make positive changes and live their best lives with the help of the tools I provide. My hope is that my patients leave their visits with knowledge about their diagnosis and treatment, motivation to continue making positive changes, a sense of empowerment, and the understanding that they are not alone on this journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic environment is personable and professional. Our visits are rooted with empathy and understanding and with goals to develop a plan that fits in your life. While I do not specialize in one specific area or disorder, I have experience treating many disorders from ADHD to Schizophrenia and enjoy having the ability to help all those who suffer.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

If you are looking for a psychiatric provider who listens, provides education and encouragement, then please do not wait any longer to reach out. I look forward to meeting you and sharing in your journey and goals! Our initial session will begin by developing our therapeutic relationship and getting to know on another. At this visit, I will gather historical information that will help in establishing or confirming a diagnosis, in order to develop a treatment plan.Ongoing visits typically focus on progress, barriers or concerns, goal identification and brief psychotherapy if needed.
