“This was the third dermatologist I saw. One seemed clueless to my concern and how to address it, the second was a bit better but I felt it was a generic, ‘this the Rx’. I finally found a professional who took the time to take with her assistant prior to seeing me. Nicole welcomed me and said that she would find relieve for me. The Rx, extremely experience, started making a difference right away. I was made aware there is no ‘cure’, but a reduction in symptom. One weekl+ since my appointment I have had relief. Not magic, but definitely less pain and itching. Thank you and your staff for a pleasant experience. The staff, as well as the wait time, were better than most. Thank you all. ”

About Nicole Madera
Nicole has specialized in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology since 2005. She completed the prestigious SDPA Diplomate Fellowship program in the field of dermatology and is one of a handful of PA’s in the state of Arizona that is a Diplomate Fellow. She is experienced with fillers and neurotoxins such as Restylane, Sculptra, Radiesse, Botox and Dysport, as well as chemical peels and lasers.
Nicole is passionate about being thorough with her patients and getting to know them well. She is highly skilled in full body skin examinations, treating skin cancers and addressing common, stubborn skin conditions like acne, warts and psoriasis. For the past decade she has been a sub-investigator in various clinical trials and speaks for multiple pharmaceutical companies.
In her free time she is active with the National Charity League, a mother/daughter philanthropic society, as well as cheering her daughters on in all of their sporting events. She enjoys traveling the world with her husband and loves everything health and fitness related.
She began her studies at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Microbiology. She also received her Bachelors of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and a Master of Medical Science degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale.

Reason for visit: bump on my finger, at the joint. The treatment placed me in more pain than I started with. I was instructed for 2 weeks to place duct tape on the burn. I now have non-stop blistering. Follow up appt I advised the PA of the blistering, she burned the area again. A week later I could not stand the pain and needed another appt. My husband had an appt first thing that Monday morning with the DR, not the PA for a skin check. I went with him to see if the DR could look at my finger and tell me what to do. The doctor then looked at my finger for all of 30 seconds and told me to let it heal no further instruction and was charged for my 30 sec appt. Sadly, I had to call again the following Monday due to the pain. This PA stated that she is seeing something completely different and that she could try burning it again or refer me to a hand surgeon, that the better option would be to see a surgeon. I now require surgery; it's not an option.

Nicole is amazing! She got me in right away and saved me from a trip to the ER from an allergic reaction to an antibiotic.
